“Since its debut as a play at the Royal Court's Theatre Upstairs in June of 1973 the Rocky Horror Picture Show has been a cult phenomena that has touched millions of lives. Subversive, sexy, scandalous, sinful…. Rocky Horror still does it all!
“And since April of 1986, The Clinton Street Cabaret has been shadow casting Rocky Horror at the Clinton Street Theater, making us one of (if not the longest) currently running cast in the world. During that time, the Cast has undergone major changes, the most recent of which is becoming an official non-profit (again)!
“The CSC’s mission is to preserve the Rocky Horror Picture Show tradition, support our (sometimes suffering, but always willing) long time home, the Clinton Street Theater, and most of all, support our local community and our LGBTQ+ friends and family.
“Currently the Shadow Cast performs every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, doors open at 10pm and the show starts at 11pm. 5th Saturday of the month is a special guest cast. The movie still plays on 2nd and 4th Saturdays, and does not have a cast, but is a good place for the more shy Virgins to attend for the first time.
